Manu Manzo is a singer / songwriter born in Venezuela and raised in the city of Miami. He began at a very young age to study singing, dancing and acting. She grew up listening to jazz and Latin music, artists like Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, Sarah Vaughan, Celia Cruz and Alejandro Sanz, as well as the artists of her native Venezuela, who have influenced her taste and soul in her compositions.
Since moving to the United States at the age of 10 has sung in several musical groups. She studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston for two years where he discovers new sounds like the Neo Soul.
In 2015 Manu released her first EP "Como Soy" independently which she described as "an honest album that comes from the heart and where I was faithful to me and my tastes to 100%" she wrote with artists such as Alex Ubago, Tommy Torres, Luis Enrique, Elsten Torres, Cris Zalles and Juan Carlos Pérez Soto who is also the producer of the project. Her sound is a combination of the genres that have influenced her life: from Latin music to Jazz, Hip-Hop to Neo Soul, as well as Blues. In September 2015 she was nominated as "Best New Artist" in the 16th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards.
In 2016 she signed with Peer Music Publishing and Aquos Music Publishing. She is currently recording her second album written by her and produced in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami by JS & Noize, James Poyser, The Audibles, SOS, and Salaam Remi.
